There is always something special going on at the Arbutus Farmers Market. From canning demonstrations to annual festivals, there are events to suit every taste. And you can even stage your own event at the Market!
Highlights of the annual Arbutus Farmers Market event calendar are the fun filled Grand Opening Day, the Salsa festival, and the Pumpkin Festival in the fall, with a host of special activities celebrating the beginning of the market season, the sultry summer days, and the fall harvest!
The Arbutus Farmers Market offers booth space to community groups and organizations interested in reaching out to the public. Download an application Here.
- Fee: Groups are required to pay a table fee Fees allow us to pay for market insurance, grounds maintenance, market management, printing costs, events at the markets and publicity.
- Set-up: Groups must bring their own tables, chairs, and cover if desired
- Frequency: Groups are allowed to come up to once per market season.
- An application to attend a market(s) must be received 7 days in advance of the market(s). Applications can be sent via postal mail or e-mail. An Arbutus Farmers Market staff member will promptly follow up with the civic group about the request.
- Arbutus Farmers Market reserves the right to decline an application. Consideration will be given to how the civic group relates to our mission and our goals for the market and the relationship of the civic group to the neighborhood and community of the market. Your organization must be based in Baltimore County, Maryland and its mission must focus on food, health, the environment, cities or Arbutus commerce.
- Civic groups are expected to provide their own equipment. A table is required. Electricity will most likely not be available for your use. The table must be staffed at all times from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm. Breakdown begins no earlier than 6:00 pm. The market is open rain or shine. The market manager will determine the location of a civic group at the market. Non-profits /community groups are responsible for keeping their stall attractive and free of trash at all times, and for removing their trash and debris at the close of business.
- The needs of our farm and food vendors take precedence over the needs of civic groups at all times. Arbutus Farmers Market can approve an application for a table but not for sales, if it may interfere with vendor sales.
- Market fees should be paid by check to “Arbutus Farmers Market” prior to the day of market attendance. Payment cannot be refunded, though a group that does not attend for good cause on a day that is already paid for may receive a credit toward a future day.
